We are delighted to invite you to the Third Annual Primary Care MASLD/MASH Summit 2024, scheduled for December 5, 2024, starting at 5:00 pm EST. This year, the summit will bring together experts from various fields to discuss the latest research, diagnostic tools, and treatment strategies for Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD formerly called nonalcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD) and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH, formerly known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis or NASH). All sessions will be conducted in English but simultaneously interpreted into French.
To give you an overview of the content, the summit will be divided into eight sessions, covering topics such as epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, management, referral and collaboration, the patient perspective, case studies, and panel discussions. Our distinguished speakers will provide valuable insights on the current state of MASLD and MASH, as well as the importance of early detection, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care. You can find a detailed agenda and list of learning objectives on our website.
The Third Annual Primary Care MASLD/MASH Summit 2024 aims to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills required to manage patients with MASLD/MASH effectively. By attending this summit, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, and available treatment options for these conditions.
Furthermore, you will learn about the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, the role of primary care physicians and nurse practitioners in facilitating referrals, and the benefits of effective communication and collaboration between healthcare professionals.
In addition to the informative presentations, the summit will also feature a patient perspective session, where you will have the opportunity to hear firsthand about the challenges and impact of living with MASLD and MASH on patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being. This session aims to highlight the importance of a patient-centered approach in managing these conditions and identify strategies to involve and empower patients in their own care.
Finally, we will conclude the summit with a case study and panel discussion involving a primary care physician, a nurse practitioner, a hepatologist, and an endocrinologist. This interactive session will allow attendees to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the previous sessions in managing patients with MASLD and MASH, discuss best practices and strategies, and address challenges and controversies in diagnosis and management.
